She has served on the boards of local, state, and national play therapy associations and continues her work supporting children and families as co-owner of Nurture Family Counseling in Austin, Texas.


In this presentation, Creative Assessment in Family Play Therapy, Mandi will explore ways to confidently incorporate caregivers into the play therapy process through creative and experiential assessment strategies. Children enter therapy within the context of their family systems, yet many play therapists struggle with effectively engaging caregivers in treatment. This workshop will provide practical play-based opportunities to deepen understanding of family dynamics and strengthen therapeutic work with the entire family system.


Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for a social hosted by the Central Hill Country Chapter of the Texas Association of Play Therapy from 9:00 AM–10:00 AM. The training and Continuing Education program will begin promptly at 10:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM.


Participants will earn 2 Play Therapy Continuing Education credits.
