Mary Morrison Bennett, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S, Certified CCPT-S/T, Certified CPRT-S/T has
been practicing play therapy for over 20 years. After 11 years on faculty in the Professional
Counseling Program at Texas State University, she is now in private practice. Dr. Bennett
received her B.S. in Special Education at Texas Christian University, her M.Ed., and Ph.D. in
Counseling from the University of North Texas. Dr. Bennett presents on play therapy
internationally, including Russia, Hong Kong, and Ireland. She is the co-author of the Child-
Parent Relationship Therapy -Toddler Model, the Child-Teacher Relationship Training Model,
and The Guide to Play Therapy Documentation and Parent Consultation.
